About Bylaw Insider
Bylaw Insider is a directory and a briefing for people who work municipal bylaw and parking enforcement, private security, towing, and the services around that work in Canada.
City rules pages summarize the public path and link to the official text. They do not re-host the bylaw. Montreal is published in French. A human still needs to review those translations before anyone treats them as a finished legal guide.
The public directory shows approved businesses only. A submission stays pending until someone reviews it. There is no job board yet. A paid listing is labeled Sponsored.
VisAware is a separate product. An editor can add it as a house sponsor. It is not ranked in directory results.
Editorial and accuracy policy
Search pages and section pages describe Canadian municipal bylaws that have been fetched. A city that is not in the index is not covered. Calgary is link-only: no bylaw text is copied, and calgary.ca is not requested.
Display follows the licence. full_text shows the indexed text with the attribution the licence requires. snippet shows a short excerpt and the official link. A section summary uses sentences from the indexed text. Bylaw Insider does not add a fine, a deadline, or a fact that is not in that text.
The last-checked date is the date the source file was last fetched. The copy is unofficial. The city's version governs. A person still needs to read the official source before treating a page as legal advice.
The planned sender for The Bylaw Insider Brief, once a sending domain is verified, is news@bylawinsider.com. A mailto link does not send mail from this site.
