Sources
Every directory listing cites a public source. A listing without a source is not published. The Not verified badge stays until a licence number is in the dataset.
Ontario security agencies and training schools
Source: Government of Ontario open data, Open Government Licence – Ontario. Basic training providers dataset. The Ministry of the Solicitor General publishes community colleges, career colleges, and licensed agencies. The ministry does not endorse providers. The file does not include licence numbers. Confirm an agency on the PSIS public registry.
Municipal bylaw offices
Each office links to an official city page. The phone and the complaint link are contact facts from that page. This is not a live feed.
Parking enforcement contractors
Each contractor is named in a municipal council report. The listing quotes the contract note from that report and links to the report. The PDF is not the company website. Ontario only.
What is not published
- British Columbia security business licences. The provincial report is not copied. A company can ask to be listed, and an editor checks the official BC security licence lookup before it is published.
- Alberta training courses that have not been checked. That list was parsed from a PDF and stays unpublished until a person dedupes it.
- The Quebec BSP security registry is not copied. An agency can ask to be listed, and an editor checks the BSP agency register before it is published.
- The Law Society of Ontario paralegal directory is not copied. A paralegal can submit an LSO licence number, and the listing is published only after an editor finds that number in the directory.
- Ontario PSIS licence numbers and Alberta security business licences are not in a bulk open file, so those listings are not invented.
