This is a guide, not legal advice and not the bylaw. Bylaw Insider does not re-host bylaw text. Amounts, deadlines, and wording are on the ticket and on the city site. We last checked the official links on 15 October 2026.
Vancouver's standards of maintenance and related premises bylaws cover the condition of rental and commercial buildings and, with other texts, untidy lots. The bylaw finder is the index. Inspectors issue orders that specify repairs. The order, not a contractor's quote, sets the compliance date.
Residents report through 311. Owners answering an order should use the reconsideration path written on the order. Pest control and trade contractors do the work; they do not retire the order.
The directory lists a firm for this work only after a real submission is approved.
