Bylaw Insider collects little. The public directory shows approved listings. A pending submission is not published.

The brief

If you subscribe, we store the email, language, topics, the consent wording, the time, the IP address, and the page you used. That is the express-consent record for CASL. We keep it for at least three years after the consent ends.

When RESEND_API_KEY is set, Resend sends the confirmation email and may create a contact after you confirm. Without that key, nothing leaves the database. We do not sell the list.

Submissions

A listing submission stores the submitter's email and the form payload, with status pending. It is not published on its own.

Towing reviews

A review stores the display name, rating, title, text, email, and date. The email is not published. Only approved reviews appear on the company page.

Requests

To see, correct, or delete a record, write to news@bylawinsider.com once that mailbox is open. Unsubscribing from the brief uses the one-time link and does not need an account.
