Council delegates to the Fire Chief the power to enter into First Responder Training Agreements with other local governments for the purposes of having employees trained and licensed as First Responders in compliance with the requirements of the Vancouver Island Emergency Response Academy (VIERA) and Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Board (EMALB).” (7108.03)
