Aurora : Règlement no 6543-23, art. 42.3(a) — Property Standards By-law

No Basement shall be used as a Habitable Room unless, in addition to any Building Code requirements, it meets the following requirements:

• floor and walls are constructed so as to be impervious to leakage of underground and surface runoff water and treated against dampness;
• (b) each Habitable Room shall meet all requirements for light, ventilation, area and ceiling height prescribed in this Bylaw and the Building Code; and
• (c) access to each Habitable Room shall be gained without passage through

a furnace or boiler room.
