Where a sign is illuminated, the sign shall conform to the following requirements:
- (a) The illumination shall not exceed 5000 nits during the period between sunrise and sunset;
- (b) The illumination shall not exceed 300 nits during the period between sunset and sunrise; and
- (c) The illumination shall not increase the light levels within 10 m of all points of the sign facing by more than 3 lux above the ambient lighting level. Office Consolidation – Sign By-law 399-2002 –
