- 478.17.1 GENERAL PROVISIONS Liability - damage - not relieved - by permit Neither the provisions of this Chapter nor the issuance of any permit shall be construed as relieving or limiting the responsibility or liability of any person erecting or displaying any sign or advertising device for any resulting personal injury, property damage, or any other liability whatsoever (including, but not limited to, any liability arising from patent, copyright, or other infringements of intellectual property rights) nor shall the provisions of this Chapter be construed, or the issuance of any permit, operate to impose upon the Corporation of the City of Brantford or upon any officer or employee thereof any responsibility or liability for personal injury, property damage or any other liability whatsoever, including, but not limited to, any liability arising from patent, copyright or other infringements of intellectual property rights
- 478.17.3 Removal - cost - recovery method Such costs or expenses as referred to in Section 478.17.2 may be recovered in accordance with section 446 of the Municipal Act, 2001, c. 25
- 478.17.4 Sign - without permit - removed - time limitation The Chief Building Official may require any person who has caused a sign or other advertising device to be erected, displayed, altered or repaired without first having obtained a permit to do so to make such sign or other advertising device comply with this Chapter if it does not so comply or to remove such sign or other advertising device within any period from one to 30 days
