Ottawa : Règlement no 2016-326, art. 57(2) — Permanent Signs on Private Property By-law

In considering whether the proposed sign is context-sensitive in its design and location for the purposes of subsection (1)(a), the following factors will be taken into account:

• (a) the Official Plan and any applicable Secondary Plans;
• (b) Community Design Plans;
• (c) Council-approved design guidelines;
• (d) Ontario Heritage Act objectives and designated Heritage Conservation District plans; and
• (e) impacts on the National War Memorial, the Parliamentary Precinct, Confederation Boulevard, federal and local historic sites and landmarks, and the Rideau Canal.
