Subject to subsections (2) and (3) of this section, where there is a proceeding before a Court involving an impounded animal, the Shelter Keeper shall continue to hold and care for the animal, and the animal shall not be sold, adopted out, destroyed or otherwise disposed of until such time as a Court orders otherwise or any Court proceeding related to the animal is concluded.
