Burlington : Règlement no 060-2005, art. 11(4) — Animal Control By-law

Upon expiration of the impound period described in Section 8 above, and subject to discharging the duties described in the Animals for Research Act R.S.O. 1990 c.A.22, the Pound Keeper may destroy or cause to be destroyed any domestic animal that has been impounded.
