The locking device is installed as an ancillary device to the fire alarm:

• [1] Upon activation of the fire alarm signal;
• [2] In the event of a power failure or ground fault;
• and [3] Upon actuation of a manually operated switch accessible only to authorized personnel manning a central control facility at all times that the building is occupied;
