This is a guide, not legal advice and not the bylaw. Bylaw Insider does not re-host bylaw text. Amounts, deadlines, and wording are on the ticket and on the city site. We last checked the official links on 15 October 2026.
Calgary publishes bylaws from calgary.ca/bylaws. Street parking, parkades the city operates, and private lots are different systems. The traffic and parking rules, including payment and residential restrictions, are on the bylaw index and the city's parking service pages. A session paid in the app does not license you to remain in a tow-away or no-stopping zone.
Calgary Community Standards and traffic staff enforce city rules. A private-lot contractor enforces the owner's signs. The directory separates those categories so a driver is not sent to a city clerk for a private tow.
The towing directory lists a Calgary company only after a public signal is checked. A listing is not a city rotation.
