Exemptions Notwithstanding any other provision of this by-law, it shall be lawful to emit, cause, or permit the emission of Sound in connection with:

• any activities integral to City-Sanctioned Community Events as listed in Schedule 2, subject to the following conditions:
• (a) any Uptown Business Improvement Area activity or event approved by its Board of Directors seeking City-Sanctioned Community Event exemption must request and receive written approval from the Designated Official;
