This is a guide, not legal advice and not the bylaw. Bylaw Insider does not re-host bylaw text. Amounts, deadlines, and wording are on the ticket and on the city site. We last checked the official links on 15 October 2026.
Calgary regulates noise through the Community Standards Bylaw and the permits that create exceptions for events and some construction. The hours are in the bylaw, not in a neighbourhood social-media post. If you need an exception, the permit is the exception.
Report through 311 with the address and whether the sound is happening now. Venue security can manage a crowd. They do not issue a city permit by wearing a radio.
The bylaws page is the text we point to. We do not host a copy.
