This is a guide, not legal advice and not the bylaw. Bylaw Insider does not re-host bylaw text. Amounts, deadlines, and wording are on the ticket and on the city site. We last checked the official links on 15 October 2026.
The Community Standards Bylaw (5M2004) is Calgary's main public-nuisance and property-condition text: weeds, garbage, graffiti, and related maintenance. Building safety can also involve the safety codes system, which is not the same inspector. The bylaws index is how you see which office owns the issue.
311 is the intake. An order or a complaint notice states what must change. A snow or weed contractor is hired help. The directory lists one only after a real submission is approved.
Read the consolidated bylaw. Amendments after 15 October 2026 will not be in this paragraph until we verify the link again.
