Garage sale sign - temporary Temporary signs erected for the sole purpose of advertising a garage sale for which a licence has been issued pursuant to Chapter 352 [The City of Brantford Municipal Code] do not require a permit, even if such signs are located on a utility pole, but all other requirements of this Chapter (including the requirements of Sections 478.4.6(a), (b), and (c)) shall continue to apply to such signs. Despite the foregoing, Sections 478.4.7(b) and
- (c) shall not apply to a sign erected for the sole purpose of advertising a garage sale which has been affixed to a utility pole, but the holder of the garage sale licence shall instead:
- a) remove such signs within twenty-four hours of the completion of the applicable garage sale; and
- b) include in legible writing on the face of the sign the licence number under which the garage sale is being held. By-law 178-95, 11 December, 1995.
