- (a) Where water run-off from roof surfaces discharges into an eavestrough or gutter, the eavestroughs or gutters shall be connected to downspouts which are either connected to the storm sewer serving the building or discharge directly over the surface of the ground.
- (b)
Where a downspout discharges directly over the surface of the ground, the downspout shall be provided with extensions to carry rainwater away from the building in a manner which will prevent soil erosion.
