- 2 Other Applicable Laws The applicant shall be responsible for obtaining the approval from any other government authority having jurisdiction over the installation of a proposed sign

- 2.3 This By-law does not apply to a sign that was lawfully elected, located, or displayed on the day the By-law comes into force and effect if the sign is not substantially altered, and the maintenance and repair of the sign or a change in the message or contents displayed is deemed not in itself to constitute a substantial alteration
